FAYAT Group Completes Strategic Acquisition of Ravo Sweeper
Bordeaux-Alkmaar: 16th of July, 2009
Groupe FAYAT SA completes the strategic take over of the Dutch street sweeper manaufacturer Ravo Holding BV. With this acquisition FAYAT is strengthening its position in street sweepers, and is completing its product line in road building and road maintenance.
For more than 45 years, Ravo has been the global market leader in developing, producing and distributing high quality compact street sweepers. Ravo Holding BV, with a head count of 160 people, had a registered consolidated turnover in 2008 of 36.5 million euro. As a member of the FAYAT Group, Ravo will continue to operate as an autonomous subsidiary under the RAVO name and will remain based in Alkmaar, The Netherlands.
FAYAT is active on all continents with a network of 100 autonomous companies grouped into 6 divisions with 16,000 employees in total. Having its head quarters in Bordeaux, France, Groupe FAYAT is a family owned companyand has since its creation in 1957 by Clément Fayat, always managed to expand and diversify its operations.
This acquisition brings together two companies whose reputations have been built on innovation, high quality products, customer service and flexibility.
